My name is Wim Vermeersch and I study New Media and Communication Technology at HOWEST in Kortrijk. Here I will explain you who I am, what my experience in life has been and what my day to day life looks like.
Studying information technology has always been my life's ambition and now is the time to finally work up to it.
I was born in Bruges, but have studied for 5 years in the UK in an international school until I was 14 years old. In 2004, together with my family, I moved back to Bruges, more precise to live in Sint Andries.
My hobby's are and probably always will be computer related or more to say electronic devices. I love working with gadgets. It started off with a Windows 3.1 computer. Steadily evolving to cell phones, Play Station 3 and luckily newer versions of Windows.
But I think most of all is the fact that I love helping and talking about what I do. Many people are still not familiar with computers or with cell phones. You can imagine how they react when something goes wrong with their network. Explaining their problems in more human understandable terms can help them out a lot and it gives me a great experience. I do have a life beyond digital world.
Walking with the dog (boxer) can always be relaxing and now more than ever going out with friends.
